Breastplate & martingale

The martingale is primarily used as an aid if your horse tends to raise its head or tends to carry its head too high during riding. There are both simple martingales and ones in combination with a breastplate or a breastcollar. The breastplate prevents the saddle from slipping backward and serves as an additional aid to stabilize the saddle.
